Sleepy Hollow fanart

Adoro le trasposizioni di questo titolo. Dal racconto originale di Irving alle versioni più fantasiose di Disney e Tim Burton. La figura del cavaliere senza testa è l'incarnazione della furia umana più cieca, del terrore che questa emozione infonde nell'uomo. Nella personalità di quest'essere, eclissata totalmente dalla sua brutalità, ho sempre trovato  una grande bellezza: totalmente libero di dar sfogo alla sua vera essenza, per quanto nefanda sia; uno spirito che in quanto tale non solo elude i limiti dello spazio e del tempo, ma fende i muri di quella che un tempo fu la sua stessa umanità.

Questa fanart l'ho realizzata un paio di mesi fa per puro estro e mi ha dato grandi soddisfazioni. Nello stile dei personaggi e degli elementi rappresentati, ho preso spunto sia dal lungometraggio di Tim Burton che dal miniclassico Disney.

I love the transposition of this title. From the original Irving's tale, to the more fantasy Disney and Tim Burton's versions. The guise of the horseman is the incarnation of the most vicious human fury, the dread this powerful emotion instills in human hearts. In the person of this ghost, totally eclipsed by his brutality, I've always found a great beauty: the total freedom for being what he truly is, no matter how abominable it can be; the horseman do not follow nor be limited by the time and space rules: he makes the walls of his very humanity to collapse and therefore he becomes something too much poweful for the very rational mind to be caught.

I realized this fanart a couple of months ago by pure inspiration and it gave me a lot of sutisfaction. For the characters and elements choose and style, I took little bits from Burton's and Disney's versions.
